About AI Job Answers.

AI Job Answers is a free tool that takes the friction out of online job applications. Upload your CV once, paste any job description, and get a cover letter, an application form answer, or an honest review of your CV — tailored to that specific role, in your own voice.

Why this exists

Generic cover letters get ignored. Tailoring each one by hand is slow. Most "AI" alternatives either need careful prompting or pump out the same generic text everyone else gets. The point of AI Job Answers is the opposite: read your CV, read the job description, write something that sounds like you wrote it.

How it stays free

No accounts, no upsell, no email capture. The tool runs on Cloudflare Pages and uses Gemini 2.5 Flash for generation. Costs are kept low by light prompting and aggressive caps on per-IP usage. If you find it useful and want to support it, the most helpful thing is to share it with someone job-hunting.

What we do with your data

Your CV stays in your browser. It's parsed locally (PDF and DOCX both work) and only sent to our server at the moment of generation — never stored, never logged. Job descriptions are sent at generation time and discarded the same way. We don't keep generated outputs either; they live in the browser tab until you close it.

For analytics, we use Google Analytics 4 via Google Tag Manager. It records basic usage events (uploaded a CV, generated something, copied output) so we can see what's working. Analytics events never include your CV, the JD, or the generated text — only the fact that the action happened.

The one exception to "we don't store anything" is the optional thumbs-up / thumbs-down feedback you can leave under each output. If you click 👍 or 👎 (or type a short comment in the optional box), we store the thumb, the comment text, the mode it was on, and a timestamp — never the CV, JD, or generated content itself. We use this to tell which outputs are useful and improve the prompts.

Who writes the guides

The blog is edited by Hannah Brooks, Careers Editor at AI Job Answers. Hannah writes practical guides for job seekers at AI Job Answers. She has spent the last decade in hiring and content roles across UK tech and consultancy firms.

Weekly briefings and early-career guides are written by Aaron Bell, Careers Writer at AI Job Answers. Aaron writes weekly guides on UK applications, CVs, and early-career strategy for AI Job Answers. He covered graduate recruitment for several London careers publications before joining the team.

Every post on the site is written or commissioned by Hannah and reviewed against the same structural rules — UK spelling, concrete examples, no AI-hedging filler, every claim backed by a worked example. If you spot something out of date or want to flag a mistake, get in touch.
